Part of my mission as your interior designer is to make this process as easy and enjoyable for you as possible. It all begins with simple phone call so I can get a basic understanding of what you’re working on and when you'd like it to be completed. From here we will schedule our first working meeting, the consultation.
This is a one to two hour meeting where I’ll gather information and measure your room. Examples of some of the things that we will discuss:
- What is the look that you want?
- How will the area will be used?
- What is your budget range?
- Do you need window treatments?
- Are we painting the walls?
If you have any, this is where we can go over things that might inspire the design. Your favorite Pins on Pinterest, a pillow that caught your eye in catalogue or a sentimental piece of artwork that you’ve had forever.
I work with my clients in many different ways. Some clients simply want some direction. If this is the case, I can advise on colors and sizes for the items in your room, giving you a detailed “shopping list” of things to hunt for on your own. Others want “full service” design where I do all the heavy lifting and find the perfect pieces for you. Once we have agreed upon the look and pieces that will create the room of your dreams we can move ahead, either all at once or in phases. I will then coordinate the installation and apply the finishing touches that pull everything together.
